Weis Grocery Stores (PA) - Bush 24oz Chili 50% Off (no msg etc.)
 

Bush's Beans company has a "Homestyle Chili, Original with Beans" Chili in 26oz can.

Weis (and maybe other stores) are closing this out, due it being "discontinued" which sometimes just means they are re-doing the packaging or changing the recipe slightly.

I checked the ingredients, no MSG or other things that cause concern. It "contains wheat" which I assume may mean that it has some veggie protein in it.

Regular $3.29 per can, now $1.64 per can until they are gone. I got 6.

That's good that the ingredients are clean (no MSG, etc) but I'd be curious as to what kind of liner the can has?

It is a typical metal can, just like anything else in the supermarket.

so today i am making Chili.

i love the stuff but for some reason only seem to make it in november.


right now my house smells of spicy goodness.


anyone else love this stuff?

oh....and i do prefer chili with meat AND beans...i also add a can of corn too for color.


anyone have a favorite recipe? i have tried probably hundreds of chili mixes and this one i cant say enough good things about...

i get the "Zany" version....not too hot but hot enough that you want more and more and dont mind a cold glass of water after a few bites.
i've been buying it for years from them and it happens to be on sale now.
its about $15 for 3 spice packs shipped.
i have no affiliation but i do want to get the word out!
